After Tesla update 2024.20, the HUD we have in our Tesla Model Y was incorrectly reporting the battery state of charge.
Scouring the web didn't turn up anything useful, but I did manage to figure out that it was made by Hansshow (even though it's no longer on their site).
I reached out to Hansshow support and they were kind enough to provide a firmware update for me (attached).
To install it, you will need a FAT32 formatted flash drive that is directly connectable to the HUD, so it either needs a USB-C connector on it, or you will need an adaptor.
Extract the attached zip onto the drive, and plug it into the USB-C port on the back of the HUD. After a few seconds, the screen should go black, and then you will get an "updating" message, as well a percentage complete. Once the update has finished, the screen should restart, and you can then safely remove the flash drive.
